Who we are.
Wilmington Beach Rentals (wilmingtonbeachrentals.com) is an independent travel and local guide covering Wilmington, North Carolina and the surrounding coast. We publish editorial guides, neighborhood profiles, and curated directories to help visitors plan their trips.
We do not sell products directly, hold user accounts, or process payments. If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data rights, you can reach us at the contact email listed on our About page.
What we collect.
When you visit this site and have accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 may collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- The URL you arrived from (referring URL)
- General geographic location (country and region — not precise location)
- Browser type, operating system, and device category
- Whether you are a new or returning visitor
This data is pseudonymous and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We use it in aggregate to understand which guides are helpful and how the site is used. We cannot identify you personally from this data.
We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or any other directly identifying information through normal site usage. If you contact us, we will use only what you provide to respond.
Cookies we set.
Cookies are small data files stored in your browser. We also use browser localStorage to store your cookie preference (localStorage is not sent to servers like cookies are).

Google Analytics 4 — We use GA4 to understand site usage. Google processes analytics data under their privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense — We may display contextual ads. Google uses cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests. You can manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com.

Control your data.
All visitors — You can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time using the cookie banner. Click Manage Cookies in the footer to re-open it.
GDPR (EU/EEA residents) — Under the General Data Protection

inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data
portability. For analytics data held by Google, you can submit a deletion request via
My Google Account.
To exercise other rights, contact us at the address on our About page. We will respond
within 30 days. Note that GA data is pseudonymous and not linked to your name or email
— we cannot identify your specific records without your GA Client ID (the value stored
in your _ga cookie). If you cannot provide it, we are unable to target
your data for deletion, but you can stop future collection at any time by declining
cookies or using the
Google Analytics opt-out extension.
CCPA (California residents) — Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information has been collected, and the right to opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. You may opt out of analytics-based data sharing by declining cookies in the banner below or using the Manage Cookies link in the footer.
